Yes, you are unfortunate. As a boy, I grew up in fruit country, apples, peaches, cherry sweet and sour, pears, plums, quince, persimmons, and all sorts of berries. Nothing like tree or vine ripened. I remember my Uncle would stop and tell us which block of fruit that had been picked. A couple days later I would ride through on my bike looking for missed fruit. The one or two peaches I would find were out of this world. Bite into one and the juice would run out of both corners of your mouth. YUMMMM.
